RICERCA E COOPERAZIONE IS LOOKING FOR A FINANCIAL CONSULTANT EXPERIENCED IN EU FUNDS MANAGEMENT

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensures the management of the data file and appropriate filing of the electronic and hard copies of the financial documents and reports
  • Provides administrative support to ensure that financial reports are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner, within the organization and by RC’s Partners in EU funded project.
  • Assists in preparing project financial reports/update project budget files.
  • Provides monitoring and assistance to RC’s Partners in EU funded project financial reporting.
  • Assists in ensuring that all staff and Partners of EU funded project follows financial policies and procedures.
  • In close consultation with the Project Manager and Administrator, ensures that all expenses made are reasonable; accurate and in compliance with cost principles procedures of the project.
  • Is responsible for ensuring all financial supporting documents attached to payment are accurate and in compliance with policies and EU procedures and in‐line with approved budget.

Others

  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager within scope of financial reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance

Technical/ Professional 

  • Good knowledge of principles, procedures and methods used in financial management and local laws and regulations impacting financial management.
  • Hands‐on practical knowledge of European Union’s Funds financial and accounting reporting systems, standards and practices.
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring compliance with finance and accounting systems, policies and procedures, especially in the framework of actions funded by the European Union.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience as Financial Manager, with strong accounting skills and bookkeeping skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Word programmes.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.

  • Organizational skills: attentive to details.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Committed to problem-solving and achieving program success.
  • Able to prioritize work, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

MInnA Digital Management Workshop – Ricerca e Cooperazione selects 5 participants

In the framework of MInnA – Misr Innovative Arts Platform Project, funded by the European Union, Ricerca e Cooperazione is selecting 5 Arabic speaking – Egypt based web/social media content managers from the cultural sector, to participate in a Digital Marketing Management Workshop for cultural operators, to take place in El Sheikh Zayed (Giza) on the 13th and 14th December 2017.

The Partner responsible of the training contents and organization is Innovety – http://innovety.com

Workshop details

Expected profiles of attendees:
–  Has a minimum work experience of 1-2 year
–  Has basic knowledge of marketing
–  Familiar with using computer, internet and smartphones
–  Has the opportunity to apply the training outcome within their scope of work
–  Has the ability to digest theoretical and technical information
–  Has passion for data analytics, design, and strategizing

MINNA PLATFORM IS LOOKING FOR A MUSICIAN – APPLICATION DEADLINE: 22nd SEPTEMBER

In the framework of MInnA – Misr Innovative Arts Platform Program, funded by the European Union, for the upcoming Contact Improvisation training program in Cairo and Alexandria, we are hiring an Egyptian musician/trainer.

Number of open positions: 1

Requirements:

– 5 years of experience in the field of electronic music

– some experience with improvisation

– coming from the experimental music scene

– able to compose music for performances using field recordings to make soundscapes

– able to play live electronic music during a dance improvisation demonstration

– able to use his/her own equipment, with no need to rent additional equipment

– on the 30th of September 2017 at Rawabet Theatre – Downtown Cairo, for the dance improvisation demonstration, the musician/trainer is required to provide set musical material and will take care of the whole music set, including sound balance

– on the 2nd and 3rd of October 2017 at the Great Hall of Alexandria Library, the musician/trainer is required to join the rehearsals, improvising with dance, and for the dance improvisation demonstration on the 3rd of October, the musician/trainer is required to provide set musical material and will take care of the whole music set, including sound balance

– priority will be given to an Egyptian woman musician, satisfying the requirements above.

Responsibilities

The Cultural Programme Coordinator will care about the overall artistic vision of MINNA Project Cultural Programme and will be responsible for coordinating all the activities in Alexandria, in coordination with the Project Manager.

General duties

  • Coordinates all the activities in Alexandria
  • Works with all Project Partners coordinators, being part of the Project Management Team
  • Defines and clarify artistic objectives and specifications
  • Develops the Project artistic concept
  • Provides artistic advises to the single partners, when needed.

Specific tasks

  • Be responsible for management of all activities in Alexandria
  • Maintain quality control of artistic activities
  • Monitor and control Cultural Programme’s actual vs. plan
  • Submit periodic reports to the Project Manager
  • Maintain project files
  • Handle public relations
  • Travel to the field
  • Work with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Artistic Direction and Cultural Projects Coordination in Egypt, with specific knowledge of the Cultural-Artistic Scene in Alexandria Governorate
  • Degree of 3 years of University studies
  • Strong communication and writing skills in English
  • Proficiency in office software applications
  • Immediate availability.

Type of Contract

Consultancy running for 180 days in the period 1 March 2017 – 31 January 2018.

The winning Egyptian filmmaker will be awarded with a two weeks residency in Europe, hosted by an Institution/Organization partner of Cinedelta project.

Cinedelta is a one year documentary film education program for 20 students from around the Delta Region in Egypt, implemented through a series of workshops, lectures, master classes, documentaries productions, and an itinerant Documentary Film Festival. Cinedelta is funded by the European Union and implemented jointly by Fig Leaf Studios and the Italian NGO Ricerca e Cooperazione, in collaboration with the Swedish Institute in Alexandria, Goethe Institut in Alexandria, Institut Français d’Egypte, DEDI – Danish Egyptian Dialogue Institute and other local and international Institutions/Organizations.

مهرجان سينيدلتا هو مهرجان متنقل للأفلام الوثائقية, و يهدف إلى تقديم أفلام مستقلة جديدة تتحدث عن مصر، وذلك عن طريق عرض مجموعة أفلام مستقلة وإعطاء المخرجين الموهوبين الفرصة لعرض أعمالهم في مناطق مختلفة في جميع أنحاء مصر.
سيكون المهرجان متنقل, حيث يبدأ بعروض في الإسكندرية, ثم يتنقل بين مدينتين في منطقة الدلتا، في يناير كانون الثاني عام 2017.

CINEDELTA DOC FILM FESTIVAL

Cinedelta Doc Film Festival is an itinerant festival dedicated to documentary films. Its mission is presenting to the audience new independent films that talk about Egypt, in order to showcase independent productions and give talented filmmakers the opportunity to screen their work in different locations around the country.
The itinerant Festival will take place in Alexandria and other two cities in the Delta Region, in January 2017.
